This project embodies a collection of prismatic energy.
A storytelling depiction of mixed media. Created by me.

I wanted to make sure this collection of Art was driven by my strict attention to detail while orchestrating my own photography with a combination of my own unique painting styles and placements.

A reconfiguration of my own imagery that is uniquely ever changing & endless as a creative process.

This creative style is meant to inspire Art in a new meaning.

We are the people;
The minds that meet to open books in libraries.
The people who take the time to read the paper.
Because information is power.
The people who use the power of their hands to construct a whole city made of steel.
Knowledge is power & so is craftsmanship.

The ideal purpose of this project is to expand my technique & style to create new ideas and exploration within new cities and communities.

As these ideas grow and develop into new creative expressions.

These new creative expressions become even more pure forms of mixed media.
Each season has taken on a new format of an art medium.

I started with watercolor in August - October 2023. Now I have moved onto acrylic since October of 2023. While collecting all of my materials for this collective. Next I will master the art of Oils. Then back to Watercolor hopefully by Summer.

Mastering all mediums.
In a new and unique format.

All while finding my own style & technique.
Reconstructing my own imagery in an original and uniquely true way as an artist.

This art collection is not only a prismatic form of mixed media it takes on a colorful aesthetic when under natural light from the Sun or when under artificial lighting, when applied giving the art a new form of energy.
Even a slight prismatic glow at all sorts of angles.
The Sun Spreads In My Mind Like An After Glow
This piece of art is apart of a collection of vibrant prismatic energy. The yellow tones from the acrylic paint react with the prismatic setting and placement of this imagery. It leaves a flowing prismatic perspective throughout this mixed media piece that embodies the everlasting flow of this technique. This art is collection of images of sunset skies in the city, to parts of the architecture of the New York public library mixed in with the prismatic over laying of swans meeting at sunrise off the Great South Bay in New York. Giving this form of art a new definition of energy.

This piece is in memory of our father Frank John Urso Jr. a bright soul whose smile shines like the sun above all of us. He is the Sun. He gave light to our world. He loved pizza more than words could describe, his dedication to Italian cooking was apart of our DNA. Queens NY, was one of his favorite spots to hang out he would be in the bodega finding the best food on the block. He enjoyed 7UP with his pizza, and a nice scoop of coffee ice cream for dessert. With a little Frank Sinatra in the background. Thank you Dad. For giving us life. Through you. Your soul shines like sunshine at its purest form. Your love lives on through us for centuries to come. You have illuminated us all with your presence. We are loving you,  and will be missing you forever. That’s a promise. Happy birthday !

This PLPIX mixed media concept is based on the song The Sun Spreads In Our Minds played by the Pretty Lights band on 10/02/2023 at the Brooklyn Mirage in NYC.
This art is meant to inspire the memory of all life in a new meaning a value of creativity with the main goal being inspiration. Thank you for listening to the completion of this collection, that now moves onto this next segment of this ever-changing and ongoing creative expression and process! Here is to the next chapter...

If I Gave You My Love One Last Time
This piece of art is a form of visual mastery. The statue in this mixed media is displayed in front of the New York Public Library. I stumbled upon it during my stay, exploring New York City.
" The statue Truth is located on the North side of the Library.
A masterpiece by Frederick MacMonnies, a sculptor and painter originally born in Brooklyn, NY. In 1863 he trained at Ecloe des Beaux-Arts located in Paris.

MacMonnies Collaborated with renowned architects John Mervan Carrere & Thomas Hastings on the Library building that opened in 1911.

MacMonnies works also include Nathan Hale in City Hall Park and Bacchante & Infant Faun located in the MET. MacMonnies helped create parts of the Washington Square Arch. In Greenwich Village, and the Sailors Memorial Arch in Brooklyn Grand Army Plaza.

His American monument in Meaux, France was commissioned as a gift to the people of France in exchange for the Statue of Liberty."

This piece holds a plethora of prismatic energy along with                               reconfigurations of the city sky and raindrops lightly settling on my taxi window.

This mixed media is inspired by a PLPIX technique and cityscape inspiration along with musical influence and orchestration by the Pretty Lights band and their version of "If I Gave You My Love" played at the Brooklyn Mirage on 9/30/2023.

In Memory of my grandmother Marie White.
Who is remembered as an intellectually gracious woman of her time. With an extreme pride for her own New York originality.
Born & raised in Laurelton, Queens.

Her father John M. Mcdermott.
Who graduated from Cooper Union was an engineer for the New York Public Library.
This piece is dedicated in memory of my grandmother and her influential pride         and love for the greater New York City area.
Around My Block

A true exploration of formative mixed media in a futuristic technique depicting 18 West 37th Street located in South Midtown a glow of warm pink and yellow hues.

Combined with overlays of prismatic energy and overtones of raindrops dripping down my taxi window while adventuring in the city. This accent of textile prismatic energy overlays the East River from Manhattan overlooking Long Island.

This art piece is inspired by the melody played at the Brooklyn Mirage on 9/30/23. By the Pretty Lights band night one, called "Around The Block" a PLPIX style of futuristic artistry made by me.
The Love You Left Behind On Earth

The One World Trade Center standing tall in an overlay of an infused prismatic sky. With an orange afterglow from the sunset out of my hotel window. Combined with a reconfiguration of other images with my unique styling of overlaying and painting with a palette knife.

A square center of parts of the street architecture of the New York Public Library creating a unique form of mixed media with a futuristic style and evolving perspective.

This art piece is inspired by the creative direction and song made by Pretty Lights at the Brooklyn Mirage "The Love You Left Behind" played by the band on 10/01/23. All of the creative paintings made were created while listening to the bands music.
This an independent project & is a unique form of artistry, as a representation of the 'PLPIX' concept under my own creative orchestration as an artist and an individual.
This new journey of prismatic energy and mixed media storytelling,  fills me with gratitude for exploration of new opportunities to share my passion for creativity with you.

This collection represents not only the culmination of countless hours of experimentation both behind the laptop and artistically, it requires exploration & the deep personal connections that come along with each experience that has shaped my journey as an individual.

As I reflect on the vibrant energy of each streetscape it becomes more vivid, and the clear, there is a true transformation that comes from art, I am reminded of the importance of embracing my own creativity and finding my own inspiration in the world we all live in together.

Each piece in this collection is a dedication to the endless possibilities.  The beauty that can be found.

This collective is meant to uplift; you! The audience, and to inspire you too, in the same way I have. To create a whole new artistic technique that is evolving & ever changing as we speak.

As you immerse yourself in this collection of art.  May you feel a sense of wonder, joy, giving endless possibility. May this collection serves as a reminder of the incredible potential. That does exist; within each one of us! To create something truly extraordinary.

May you continue to find joy & inspiration in the world around you.
During your own emotional and physical journey. May your own creative endeavors be a source of light and beauty in your own life.

Thank you for joining me in celebration of my new year around the Sun & for listening.
Keep dreaming, keep creating, & keep shining bright like the candles on all your cakes!
